The Latino Canadian Scholarship Fund is an all-volunteer organization of people who believe in the power of economic opportunity for high-school graduates.
The LCSF approach to accessing post-secondary education for high-school graduates is all about collaboration.
To support the needs of students who are pursuing degrees in all disciplines, especially those who, because of economic or social circumstances, might have seen higher education as an unattainable goal.
To have at least one university graduate in each Latino-Canadian family.
We are honest and ethical in all that we do, and engage in responsible decision-making that reflects the highest standard of conduct. This ensure our credibility, leadership and use of donors’ contributions are never in question.
We implement and evaluate well-planned programs and services.
We strive for continuous improvement and development at all levels of the organization.
We respect, appreciate and recognize our donors, volunteers, partners and staff who help us achieve our mission.
We value diversity and work hard to create a collaborative environment, where we benefit from the cultural perspective of others.
Scholarships are based on merit. Financial need will be taken into consideration to determine the amount of the award.
LCSF scholarship award amounts range from $ 1000- $6000, based on the student’s financial aid package.
Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books and other academic related supplies, as well as for room/board and transportation expenses related to school.
LCSF scholarships are single-year awards. However, we encourage students to re-apply for scholarships, each year, as new applicant.
Benefits include programs and services that will help you excel while you are in university/college and achieve a successful transition to the career of your choice.
LCSF has the discretion to randomly verify selected scholarships applications to ensure the validity of the information entered in applications. LCSF verifies all required documentation.
